Looking For a Billboard?

Riding down the road, struggling with the direction the Lord is taking me. I am looking for a billboard that tells me very clearly, so I don’t miss His plan. After all, He wrote a whole book, 66 chapters, all’s I am asking for is one billboard.

But He says to me… yes I did write a whole book, 66 chapters and the answers are in there every time you are looking for them. He reminds me even if I did have a billboard for the one question I will no doubt then look for another because there will be another question. The road would be littered by billboards for each of my questions when I could just go and read His Word, go into prayer, and wait well for His answer.

How many times do we find ourselves frustrated by overthinking or attempting to mindread what God wants? I don’t know about you, but I can say this has happened to me and when it does, I lament that the answer does not come fast enough.

It’s during those times where I spend time in the dry bone valley and reach out to seek good counsel. Sometimes, God provides to us someone who can look into our situation from a different perspective and offer insights. It’s like they can see the trees while we can only see the forest.

If you have not experienced the process of counseling or therapy, you may be doing yourself a disservice. Counseling or therapy are positive actions to take in your life to step outside of yourself to grow. It can be uncomfortable and at times may feel like things are getting worse.  Trust the process and stay open to change.
