Rates and Insurance

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I accept Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Options, and Aetna.
I am an out of network provider for other insurances and could possibly submit a claim for you or give you a Superbill so to submit the claim directly to the insurance company to reimburse your payment.
I am NOT a provider for Medicare and have opted out, which means I am unable to bill Medicare or any of the secondary Medicare insurances.
Please be sure to call your insurance company as soon as possible to get an understanding of what your financial responsibility is. Many plans are changing, and I don’t want you to be caught off guard with surprise bills. If you are covered by more than one insurance plan, please note it is possible I may not be a provider for both plans. You are responsible for any balance this includes co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
It is your responsibility to know your insurance benefits. If your plan requires a referral authorization, you will need to contact your primary care physical to request this or to confirm that an authorization has been issued properly prior to your appointment.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits and if so, do I have an out of network benefit?
Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
-
I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment.
Payment is expected at time of service.
-
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.

Please contact me for any additional questions you may have.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the Federal No Surprises Act (H.R. 133 – effective January 1, 2022), you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate,” which explains how much your medical care will cost. Under this law, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
*Please note that this Good Faith Estimate is only to offer transparency about your therapy costs. It does not commit you to seeing your therapist for a certain number of sessions or for a certain duration of time. How frequently you meet with your therapist, and how long you come to therapy is solely your decision.
Things You Should Know:
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
The Good Faith Estimate does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. You could be charged more if complications or special circumstances occur.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
It is your responsibility to save a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
*Disclaimer: This new legislation is still being interpreted involving mental health professionals and the above statement is an effort to provide what is currently believed to be important and required to share with clients. This page may be updated as more information evolves involving this new statute.
